You never know what you'll find in Grandma's attic.
In
my case it was hundreds of photos, scrapbooks, cards and newspaper
clippings dating back as far as my great great grandparents! This
project will be my attempt to catalog it all for the generations to
come. |

Dealing with old photos has been a real learning experience, but definitely an enjoyable one. My first task is to organize, clean and scan the photos before finding a more permanent way to preserve and store them.
My goal for all this is to create at least two books. One book would detail the family history as far back as I can research, including tidbits along the way such as letters, maps, period information and even family recipes. The second book would be an album of all of the photographs which would be accompanied by a CD.
Why?
Because knowing where you came from is important. Family is important.
I want to preserve these special people so that our children will get
to know them too. |
